In the late nineties I spent time in the desert outside of Los Angeles, escaping the smog and illusion of Hollywood, writing and soaking in hot springs. The sparkling thermal waters under blazing sun, shimmering wind and rolling earthquakes inspired me to videotape and photograph these mesmerizing, abstract lush images in ultra close-up.

From there, I began to film waters wherever I went: Bali, Brazil, the Okavango Delta, Victoria Falls, the Zambezi, the Atlantic, Pacific, Mediterranean, tiny water falls, canals, creeks, pools.

The first edition of WATER STACKING TABLES is of the Zambezi River in shimmering blues, pinks, greens, and purples. The tables were specifically designed to suggest both bedrock and bridge to hold the water that runs from one table down to the next to the next.
