Water: Video Installations
A 16 minute videotape on an endless loop...a mix of moving water in nature and
the subliminal naked body of Mary Abrams moving through in different movements,
all set to soothing music by Contance Demby intended to attune the body (from her album "Attunement").

WATER was originally conceived to play in a WATER ROOM, in which
the viewer sits in a room where video is projected on all the walls, ceiling and floor.
The immersion creates a meditative state. The presentation can be adapted
to the presenting space.
Scientific studies have shown the healing nature of moving water imagery.
Our bodies are 70% water, as is the surface of the earth. Water makes up
95% of a fertilized human egg
THE WATER WAY
The tape is projected onto all surfaces of the archway, an organic form within
a black box (24' x 42' x 12') that disappears, made of high-strength compression
arches and white, translucent tensile fabric. Above, the ground below, the sides, all is water.
